Mission: Engage in all AA activities related to AI

AI can be a powerful tool to support evidence-based policymaking in the healthcare sector, leading to more efficient, effective, and equitable health policies.
By incorporating novel AI techniques into in-silico models, researchers can gain deeper insights into biological processes, drug interactions, disease mechanisms, and patient responses to treatments.

Reciprocally, the European Commission’s creation of the European Health Data Space and the proposed AI legislation will have an important impact on the further development of not only data-driven models but of in-silico medicine as a whole.

Through the Avicenna Alliance and in collaboration with the R&T WG, the AI TF is driving efforts to establish the AA as an ideal partner for the EC, FDA and other stakeholders and collaborate with other relevant consortia on AI and Digital Twins.

Other goals of this TF include to contribute to development of relevant standards, identify useful data to promote specific AI technologies, collect and show success case studies, provide input on AI-related policy questions, and increase awareness on the adoption of AI within the AA.

Goals

  • Establish the AA as an ideal partner for the EC, FDA and other stakeholders
  • Presence of the combination of application-specific knowledge and technical background
  • Identify useful data to promote specific AI technologies
  • Collect and show success case studies 4.Provide input on AI-related policy questions
