Colonoscopy

The diagnosis and severity grading of intestinal conditions such as Crohn’s disease typically require a complete colonoscopy with biopsy and relative histopathology exam. The VIGOR++ system makes possible to replace these invasive, unpleasant, and expensive exams with a simple magnetic resonance imaging session, followed by a patient-specific computer simulation.

The VIGOR++ software is now available for clinical research use via the 3Dnet™ medical imaging cloud service (www.3dnetmedical.com). Full-scale clinical trials are being designed at the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, and the UCL Hospital, London.
