Avicenna Alliance Welcomes Matthieu Chareyre as APAC Task Force Co-Chair

The Avicenna Alliance is delighted to welcome Matthieu Chareyre as Co-Chair of its APAC Task Force, reinforcing the Alliance's mission to make in silico medicine standard practice across one of the world's most dynamic healthcare regions.
Matthieu is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and life sciences executive with deep cross-disciplinary experience spanning pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, toxicology, and regulatory affairs. He has held leadership roles at Regulaxis, Hephaïstos Biotech, Zaphyr Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, and Abbott Laboratories.

As Co-Founder, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, and President of Tox by Design, he has helped position the company among Europe's leading toxicology consultancies, with a distinctive focus on in silico (Q)SAR methodologies and next-generation safety assessment, an approach that sits at the very heart of the Alliance's vision for computer modelling and simulation.

His engagement with the Asia-Pacific region is well established. As a principal member of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation Biotech Working Group, former winner of Korean K-Start Up Grand Challenge 2020 and through his leadership of international market-development initiatives spanning North America and Asia-Pacific, Matthieu brings first-hand understanding of the regulatory, scientific, and commercial landscapes that will shape in silicoadoption across APAC.
In his new role, he will help the APAC Task Force nurture collaboration among regulators, industry, and academia to advance in silico methods, best practices, and policies for regulatory science and innovation across the region.
