Tina Morrison Appointed as Avicenna Alliance Global Harmonization Task Force Leader

We are truly thrilled to welcome Tina into this important leadership role. Her exceptional career spanning regulatory science, scientific computing, simulation, and policy makes her uniquely qualified to lead the Global Harmonization Task Force at a time when international collaboration and alignment on in silico medicine, AI, and computational modelling are more important than ever.

Tina Morrison, PhD, is Vice President of Scientific Strategy at EQTYLab. Previously, as a Senior Executive at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, she served as Science Advisor to the FDA Chief Scientist on Scientific Computing and directed the Office of Regulatory Science and Innovation. Throughout her career, she has led major cross-agency initiatives on computational and in silico alternative methods, AI credibility assessment, early quantum computing education, and complex in vitro test methods. In 2019, she was recognized as FDA’s Federal Engineer of the Year for her work advancing credible simulation in the regulatory evaluation of medical products.

With a background in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics, and more than 25 years of experience in simulation and 17 years in regulatory science, Tina has been working at the intersection of engineering, computation, and policy, helping shape the future of credible simulation and regulatory innovation worldwide.
