Welcome DARERL to the Avicenna Alliance!

What if medical devices could be tested on hundreds of virtual humans before being tested on a single real one?
That’s the opportunity DARERL is helping to unlock.
Combining Virtual Human Twins, physics-basedsimulation and population-level analysis, DARERL is bringing real human anatomical variability into medical-device engineering — helping developers explore how devices perform across different anatomies and users.
“There is no average human, yet much of medical-device development still has to work with a very limited representation of human variability. Virtual Human Twins give us the opportunity to change that. We joined the Avicenna Alliance to contribute our experience in bringing population-based simulation into medical-device engineering and to help advance the industrial use of in silico technologies” — Sune Darkner & Kenny Erleben, DARERL
From one virtual human to hundreds, DARERL is helping turn anatomical variability into something that can be tested, quantified and understood.
“Today, computing power enablesus to analyse a far greaternumber of scenarios; whencombined with the DARERL technologies, in silico solutions have the potential to significantly enhance patient safety. We are delighted that DARERL is joining the Avicenna community and look forward to working together to advance the industrial application of in silico technologies!” concludes Thierry Marchal, President, Avicenna Alliance
