Appointment of Avicenna Formal Administrators

At its recent General Assembly, the members of the Avicenna Alliance have confirmed that three members of the Avicenna Board will act as legal representatives of the Avicenna Alliance. As a Belgian non-profit organisation, the Avicenna Alliance allocate the following positions:
- Mathieu Rimaud, Treasurer, responsible for maintaining and publishing the finances of the organisation. Mathieu is also CEO of Twinsight, a French startup developing orthopaedic digital twin solutions, currently focusing on knee.
- Liesbet Geris, Secretary, responsible for reviewing and approving the minutes of the General Assemblies and the Board of Directors. Prof Liesbet Geris is Executive Director of the VPH Institute and professor at ULiège and KU Leuven in Belgium.
- Thierry Marchal, President, Responsible for leading the various meetings (General Assemblies, Board of Directors, strategic meetings, etc.). Thierry Marchal is also the Program Director and Chief Technologist EMEA for Healthcare at Ansys.
Liesbet, Mathieu and Thierry are very active and widely recognized thought leaders in the field of in silico healthcare. The Avicenna Alliance is very proud to be formally represented by these three key figures from the in silico community and grateful for the crucial time they dedicate to these activities.
