Avicenna Alliance’s Secretary General to give keynote speech at ICCAI 2017

On 27-29 July 2017, the Society for Complex Acute Illness (SCAI) will organise the 16th annual International Conference on Complex Acute Illness (ICCAI) in Milan, Italy during which Avicenna Alliance’s Secretary General, Dr. Adriano Henney will deliver a keynote speech.

Bringing industry together, the 16th International Conference on Complex Acute Illness is a 3 days event with Medical, Health Care and Acute Care topics.

The program for ICCAI 2017 is meant to promote a seamless transition between basic science and clinical research, emphasizing trans-disciplinary interaction between physicians, basic scientists, mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists and engineers- all united with a passion of applying complexity science and advanced bedside monitoring to care for the critically ill patients.

The sponsoring organization, the Society for Complex Acute Illness (SCAI), was formed to foster cross-disciplinary interactions and bring quantitative approaches to understand complex, acute disease processes such as sepsis and trauma.

Among the renowned speakers from University of Milan, Politecnico di Milano, the University Clinic Ulm and the University of Pennsylvania is also Avicenna Alliance’s Secretary General Dr. Adriano Henney who will deliver a keynote speech on “Ageing populations, complex diseases and unmet medical need: a Challenge for in silico Medicine”. This will present an excellent opportunity to also showcase the activities of the Avicenna Alliance during this high-level conference.
