Avicenna Alliance provided feedback on the Revision of the EU general pharmaceuticals legislation

On 27 April, the Avicenna Alliance has submitted its feedback to the revision of the EU general pharmaceuticals legislation. Through this feedback, Avicenna Members provided the European Commission with guidance on how to meet unmet medical needs, maintain a system of incentives, promote evidence generation tools for marketing authorisation of innovative medicines, and support and accelerate product development and authorisation. We encourage all members to have a read through the feedback given by the Avicenna Alliance which you can find in this PDF.

Computational Modeling and Simulation of Medical Devices - Book Release

The medical device industry is increasingly adopting computational modeling and simulation (CM&S) throughout the product life cycle—from early-stage design and prototyping to regulatory submissions and post-market performance evaluation. A key challenge across all these applications is establishing whether a model is sufficiently credible to support (regulatory) decision-making. The ASME V&V 40 standard, published in 2018, introduced a risk-based framework for assessing model credibility and has gained broad acceptance across the industry.
