Clinical Deployment Task Force
Mission: Promote use of in silico medicine from product development to clinical practice
The Clinical Deployment Task Force promotes the use of in silico methods by investigating and showcasing their bench-to-bedside trajectory.
With the support of the task force members, an inventory of key in silico methods already integrated into, or close to, clinical application will be established. These in silico clinical applications will be identified through internal consultation with the task force members and external benchmarking, to include clinical applications across of a range of fields, such as drug development and medical device testing. The identified in silico applications will then be evaluated as case examples to assess the technological hurdles encountered before successful clinical implementation. This feasibility study on the clinical and industrial valorization of these in silico applications will help to develop and optimize the envisioned frameworks of future in silico methods to facilitate their clinical translation and valorization.
The ambition of this task force is to dynamically grow the number of clinical applications, principally in the pharmaceutical and medtech industries, by actively exploring and strategically considering their readiness for clinical implementation or industrial valorization, in close consultation with task force members.
Goals
