ABSTRACT:
Jan Hertwig will present Cadfem expertise in therapeutic areas for in silico medicine and its service and research activities.
The question of whether a technology is good or not always goes hand in hand with its accessibility.
Docq bridges the gap between sophisticated biomechanical computational methods and easy usage, which is possible even without specific engineering or expert knowledge. With examples of products and services implemented together with some customers and partners, Jan shows how the in silico revolution can be shaped with Cadfem platform docq. E.g. in the digital verification of individual implants, in the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, the virtual fitting of prosthetic sockets or the planning of surgical interventions for the expansion of the upper jaw.
Furthermore, Jan will give insights into Cadfem research activities and academia collaborations. At Cadfem they are working closely to research and the academic world, to develop new ideas, test their applicability and accuracy together with clinicians, surgeons, hospitals, companies and universities.
But it does not always have to be at such a high level to have a major impact on the quality of medical devices. Within Cadfem Service & Consulting activities they teach and use Simulation to better understand Products, to support the Product approval, Troubleshooting, Post marked surveillance or perform Virtual Benchtop testing, to identify the Worst cases and reduce the number of physical tests in the laboratory.
